30th Birthday Bash & Charity ‹‹Portland Event Photographer››

A 30th Birthday Party with a snazzy 20s style theme AND some giving on the side.

This past weekend I did some portraits of the birthday girl and her husband in the pimped out party space…decorated by the fabulous Rosemary of Rosemary Stafford Floral Design.

This was, indeed, a birthday party, but it was also a little somethin’ special because it doubled as a charity event for The Pixie Project, a local animal adoption organization. So, if you’re looking for a sweet addition to your family, you should check them out!

Here are just some of my favorites from the day. Enjoy  :-)

Hey Friends!

Thanks for stopping by the new blog  :-)

You’ll notice that we’re under a different name now. We’ve opted to go with “Paige Jones” for the business just to simplify things. Michael will still shoot weddings and engagements alongside me though, and will continue to be very much involved  :-)

I couldn’t be happier with the simple, clean look of our new brand. I really wanted the images to be the number one focus because…let’s be honest…it’s what everyone is interested in  😉

I appreciate all of your support and love. If you have a moment, drop by the new facebook fan page, and “like” it for contant updates! https://www.facebook.com/paigejonesco

Happy Friday!

Joanna ‹‹Do What You Love››

Do What You Love.

It’s a core belief Michael and I try to live by.

So. It only makes sense that we’re drawn to those who share this idea.

Enter, this series.

It’s a personal project for us. Finding others who are KILLIN’ it, living life, doing what they love. And then photographing them.

Today, I bring you Joanna.

She works full time at IKEA as a Visual Merchandiser (isn’t that awesome?!), but in her spare time you can find her in her basement studio…where she screen prints. Yep. Another awesome form of art I got to learn about whilst getting to know her. One of the reasons why Joanna is perfect for this series is that she screen prints for pure enjoyment. She doesn’t have a shop. She doesn’t sell it. She does it because she loves it.

Although…she totally could have an online shop, and she might consider it in the future, so I’ll be sure to update you when that happens.

The process is very detailed and includes terminology that I can’t remember, so I’ll spare you the read, and share some photos instead. In these images, she’s working on a wrapping paper design. Enjoy!

P.S. If you missed the first installment of Do What You Love, you can view the post here. Thanks for looking!

P.P.S. Happy 4th of July! A fitting post for a day of celebration. I hope everyone gets outside today and does something awesome:-)

Angela ‹‹Portland Oregon boudoir Photographer››

How ’bout some late afternoon boudoir? *raises hand*

A few months back, I had the opportunity to assist the lovely Bunn Salarzon. It was a good day. Great light, gorgeous model, and lots of laughs as we listened to Bunn’s 90’s R&B mix…which, I might add, is the best decade for R&B  😉

We shot this downtown at the Nines hotel, which might be Portland’s swankiest hotel. If you’re getting married, or wanting a lush hotel experience, I’d definitely check out what they offer.

This was my first time shooting boudoir, and it most certainly won’t be my last. So much creative freedom. I loved it.

Seriously. Could Angela be more stunning?

I don’t think so.

Enjoy a few of my favorites from this shoot.

Kisses ‹‹personal››

Just another evening at the Joneses.

Blue loves to give kisses…such a sweet boy (sometimes).
